Henderson Votes Tuesday: Any Clark County Vote Center, 7 to 7 — and Your Mail Ballot Still Works (Henderson Green Valley News)

Election Day in Henderson is Tuesday, Nov. 3, and Nevada's system gives voters more ways to use it than almost any state in the country. Polls and vote centers across Clark County are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and anyone in line at 7 p.m. will be able to vote.

Start with the ballot already in your house. Nevada mails a ballot to every active registered voter who hasn't opted out. If yours is still on the kitchen counter, you can return it by mail — it must be postmarked by Election Day, Nov. 3, and received by Nov. 7 to count — or drop it off in person at any vote center or official drop location in Clark County by 7 p.m. Tuesday. Election officials recommend dropping off rather than mailing at this point.

Prefer to vote in person? Clark County's vote center system means Henderson voters can cast a ballot at ANY vote center in the county — near home, near work, wherever the line is shortest. Henderson locations typically include recreation centers, libraries and community facilities; the Clark County Election Department publishes the full list and wait information.

Nevada also allows same-day registration: with a valid Nevada driver's license or state ID, you can register or update your registration at a vote center on Election Day itself and vote. In-person voters are asked to show identification to verify identity; signature verification is used for mail ballots.

The ballot is long: governor and the statewide constitutional offices, U.S. House, state Senate and Assembly, county commission, judges, ballot questions — and for Henderson voters, the mayor's race, as the city elects its mayor this cycle.

However you vote, the state tracks it: Nevada voters can check their ballot status through the Secretary of State's voter portal, including whether a mail ballot has been received and counted.
