The Champs Train in Henderson: The Las Vegas Aces' Home Away From the Arena
The WNBA's Las Vegas Aces play in Las Vegas, but they work in Henderson — where the team built the first dedicated practice facility in WNBA history.

The Las Vegas Aces' dynasty runs on Henderson ground. In 2023, the two-time WNBA champions opened a 64,000-square-foot headquarters and practice facility in Henderson — the first building in WNBA history constructed solely for a team's training, recovery and operations.
The facility houses practice courts, strength and conditioning spaces, recovery and hydrotherapy rooms, film and locker rooms and the team's business offices — the infrastructure that players in earlier eras of the league could only envy, and that has become a recruiting argument for Las Vegas across the WNBA.
The Aces' success made the building necessary. Back-to-back championships in 2022 and 2023 — the league's first repeat in two decades — turned the franchise into the WNBA's standard, and its stars into valley fixtures. The team's games are played at Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas; its daily work, and much of its community presence, happens in Henderson.
The city's sports portfolio keeps building on that pattern: Henderson hosts the Aces' facility, the Silver Knights' arena and practice ice downtown, and — at the valley's edge — the Raiders' headquarters and practice facility in west Henderson, a campus that opened in 2020.
The economics are the point: sports organizations bring year-round professional jobs, visiting media and a young workforce, and Henderson — without a Strip casino to its name — has positioned itself as the valley's practice-and-preparation city.
Championships are won in June and October. They're built in Henderson, in November, in an empty gym with the training staff watching the details.
